Yes , the Houthis hit a US carrier. They hit it with their "that's not a Moon, that's a space station" Death star laser from orbit. The AI photos of the hit are some of the worst efforts I have ever seen. The Russians do a poor job but this is far below their standards. But apparently enough to fool you.
