Well there is wreckage of T-55s which were built from 1946 so it would not surprise me if earlier models are being recommissioned. There is huge precedent for this, cannons and field artillery that Napoleon left behind was used on the Germans 150 years later. They don’t throw out anything. If you are familiar with Gogol’s character of Plyushkin you might understand.
