Under Putin, over 30% of Russia's GDP is lost in corruption. The military is famous for it most of all, money for weapons and equipment goes into Swiss bank accounts. Anyone who cleaned all that would make Russia far more deadly on the battlefield and economically. I lived under Putin for 7 years and saw it all.
