What foreign troops massing in Ukraine? There were none. Putin was complaining about NATO for decades? Really? He has been I power for just on two decades and in the first decade NATO troops were training with the Russian army outside Moscow- I know this because I was living there. There was even talk of Russia joining NATO and the EU.

You quote artillery figures from ages ago, the Russians are firing a fraction of that now and the ukrainians are firing more. Plus with HIMARS and better fire control, they are outranging the Russian artillery.

You talk of resolve and you assume Russian leadership resolve is the same as mobilized Russian soldiers who have to crowd fund for body armor and medical kits. Russian mobilized troops get a maximum 3 weeks training and some no training at all. Ukraine rotates its troops and sends them off to Poland, Germany, Spain and the UK to be trained in western tactics and equipment.

You mention the number of people both sides have but neglect in your number the millions of military age men who fled Russia.

You talk about the Ukrainian army that was in beginning is gone but so is the Russian army. And the equipment and weapons of the ukrainians is getting better while Russia is pulling out its vehicles stores from as far back as just after WW2.
