This is vastly different. There is a reason Egypt has built a massive wall and lined it with tanks, they saw what the Palestinians did in Jordan- Black September and warring the government. They saw what the Palestinians did in Lebanon, creating the Lebanese Civil war. And the current military Junta under Sisi overthrew the democratically elected Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and arrested its leaders- and only stay in power by military might. HAMAS is not similar to Muslim Brotherhood- it IS the Muslim Brotherhood's Palestinian chapter. The last thing Egypt wants is more Muslim Brotherhood. This is not Realpolitik, this is about the survival of the Egyptian regime.
