There is one problem that makes analogies with the French and other colonials seem absurd.
The French or the British could always return to France and the UK respectively but where are the Jews to go?
You might say back to Europe in some snarky answer but most Israelis are born there and over half come from Middle Eastern countries that expelled them and have laws on their books against them. Those Sephardi and Mizrachi Jews have no place to go, even if you assert the Jews who lived in Europe might. And you would be very mistaken if you thought the Sephardi and Mizrachi were any less Zionist. The only antizionist- whether some ultra orthodox Jews or secular American Jews are Ashkenazi. Sephardi and Mizrachi know better than anyone what it was like to live under Islamic rule for 1400 years and it was no unicorns and rainbows. So us Jews will fight as Israelis don't have a place to go. And the Bedouin and Druze will fight alongside us. Am Yisrael chai.
