There are no such thing as Semites. Antisemitism is a left over archaic word from German race theory of the mid 1800s. The term has remained, just as many do in English.

There are Semitic language in linguistics. There are no Semite as a people. In biology there is one race, the human race. In anthropology there are half a dozen race that are so broad they are menaingless- which puts all Arabs and Jews in with Europeans, Persians and others. Even the term racist is outdated but still used- that is because we understand that people belong now to ethnic and ethnic religious groups.

As for Jews having European blood- the majority of Israeli Jews have never been to Europe and neither have any of their ancestors. Jews who have lived in Europe (or their ancestors) are a minority. Then there are people like myself. Thousands of years of my family living in what is now Israel, but chased out of Hebron Palestine 500 years ago , spent 250 years in Europe and 150 years in Australia. Does that make me European? Do the Europeans know? They certainly didn't think we were European when we were there.

It's funny. My wife is Armenian, born in Georgia. Her parents are Armenians born in Georgia. They are citizens of Georgia. But Georgians don't care how long they have been in Georgia- even though she has one Georgian great grandparent. They are Armenian and would never be considered Georgian by Georgians. That was the way of Jews in Europe.
