The coming freeze in Ukraine
and it is not just about the weather
It’s been a while
I haven’t contributed to Medium since October, as I relocated from the Republic of Georgia to Australia. My wife and family are still over there and I continue to keep in contact with friends and relatives in Georgia, Armenia, Russia and Ukraine. I still work part time for a Russian language school- which now has my students scattered across the globe who fled mobilization. Still, I have been distracted with my move and settling into a new role here in Australia. I have been keeping up to date with the twitter/telegram blogsphere in Russian, Ukranian and English.
On Medium there is quite a mixed bag of analysts and commentators. nadinbrzezinski has both a presence on here as well as twitter and gives excellent commentary. Likewise Stefan Korshak is essential reading for the heartbeat of the war. There are a few others I appreciate and then there is the gawd awful. Such is the beauty and nature of this platform and the diversity of views. The gawd awful isn’t always someone who disagrees with you, it all comes down to the level of research and critical thinking expressed.
