Terrorist Palestinians were murdering Jews long before Israel came into existence. There, fixed it for you.

There were widespread attacks on Jews 50 years before Zionism. Jews were not permitted to defend themselves under Ottoman law. Finally, in the early 1900s, 100 Jewish farmers banded together in what later became Haganah.

In the 1920s, with more Jewish arrivals, the attacks on Jews increased, while the Jewish focus was removing British rule. To counter this, the British released Al-Husseini from prison who titled himself Grand Mufti- who encouraged Arab violence against Jews, rejected the 1937 Peel Commission which would have made a Palestinian state, and was instrumental in getting Egypt to go to war in 1948. Along the way various Jewish militias formed like the Stern gang who got tired of playing defence against constant Arab attacks and went on the offensive. No one should condone their behaviour.

Also Hamas did not "win" the election. They did get more seats but not sufficient to form a government on their own. Unable to form a unity government for a host of reasons, they seized Gaza after Israel had left it, throwing Palestinians off roof tops who worked for the Palestinian Authority. They then launched 10,000 rockets at Israel in 2 years, so Israel closed off the border and began inspecting what was coming into Gaza.

There would be no war now if not for October 7. Gaza would have open borders and free movement if not for HAMAS attacks. For decades there was no separation wall or checkpoints in the West Bank till the 2nd Infitada and waves of suicide bombings. Cause and effect people.

By the way, any Jew who damages olive trees is a blight on our people and there is zero excuse for it. Also, not all so called settlers are Zionists( though the majority are). Zionists believe in a secular state. Some of the most violent settlers are ultra-Orthodox who believe the land belongs to them but don't recognize the Israeli government and build completely without permission of Israel(and Israel often demolishes their housing too which is also met with violence.)
