Imagine every accusation against Israel is true. Ethnic cleansing, genocide and apartheid.
Imagine you are one of the leaders of HAMAS with the stated goal to better the lives of your people and gain their freedom.
You draw up a plan to attack Israel on October 7 and murder kibbutz hippies and festival goers and plan to capture hostages. You pat yourself on the back for even coming up with the idea of using paragliders.
You know Israel will respond and respond hard and you calculate this into your actions. And you decide it is all worth it and to go ahead.
Let’s look at the result. The Hamas leadership decimated, including Haniyeh in Iran. Hezbollah’s leadership completely wiped out. A weakened Hezbollah meant the loss of Syria.
Gaza has 90% of homes damaged and 60% of all structures. Northern Gaza is flattened. Even with Palestinians returning there, it would have destroyed utilities and so much unexploded ordinance- kids will be losing limbs for decades.
Arab Americans helped Trump come into power in places like Michigan, who has given Israel free rein and suggested evacuating/ethnic cleansing Gaza at least until it is rebuilt. I might write about that another time, but the fact it is even being suggested is no win for…
