My family faced a pogrom in Hebron Palestine in 1517 and fled and that is why they aren't there. The amount of pogroms against Jews in the Muslim world is huge. And 1400s of being second class citizens treated like absolute crap. There were more tolerant rulers from time to time but it was never consistent. There was plenty of other pogroms in Safed and Hebron way before Zionism. It is a disgusting myth that Jews were treated well in Arab countries. They were treated better in Persia and better still in Azerbaijan and Central Asia. And all Muslim countries treated Jews better than Europeans did. But still it was always at the mercy of Muslims who could decide to be violent towards an unarmed Jewish population. We will not go back to those days. 55% of Jews in Israel come from Muslim countries, most of those countries are without Jews now. They were chased out with only what they could carry. The Muslim world doesn't want us back so stop pretending it is some option.
