I should also thank you for your comments and hope my other reply doesn't come across as russiansplaining to a Russian! Not my intention. You are very right on things, China must be truly peeved right now, as any greater allowance they have gained by spreading money around the world and influence to soften opposition to a Taiwan move- has evaporated. The west, and others, have never been so united on this sanctions thing. And some nations are probably keen to throw this sanction weapon around further. The level of response to Russia's actions is unprecedented which would give anyone else thinking the same quite some pause. It is also entirely possible that the leadership in China might also reevaluate their own military effectiveness and begin to wonder if their Generals and Yes men are lying to them about how good the Chinese military is- considering how Russia performed far, far below expectations.
