I don't agree on every point but we agree far more than we disagree. Yes no point in building one off designs then trying to retool for a completely different vessel...and trying to do it in South Australia of all places.

Certainly we are moving into an area of drones, and Ukraine has tried sea drone attacks on Russian ships. But a submarine has a variety of uses and can be anywhere on the globe, and anti sub warfare lags all other types. And it's a big step to have full automation that has been at sea for three months and is 10,000km from home loaded with a full volley of tomahawks or equivalent. I think defence leaders would baulk at that. But on everything I think we largely agree.
