I am a writer here on Medium and I have had many of the same thoughts about virtual reality even before the Vision Pro. But I couldn't write an article as succinct and thought provoking as you just did. Bravo. A lot of your questions are raised in the Black Mirror episode "Entire history of you" which covers much of this ground and speaks to many of your fears and questions.

For me, I would consider the Vision Pro as the utlimate home office set up- this is where I think it could be a real game changer. Though the heaviness of the unit has had people complain about their necks and it would be interested to see the impact on eyesight with it being a fixed point in front of your face- unless it can trick the eyes' depth perception which is entirely possible.
