Even though I’m not American, I still grew up in the Trump generation. I was a Real Estate Agent for many years and dealt with developers and aspired to be one myself. During this time, there was no one bolder, brasher, more audacious and louder, than Donald Trump. He was, for all his successes and failures, as American as they come.

We saw him in Home Alone, in wrestling and boxing matches, on the cover of magazines, being interviewed by Oprah and then, of course, in the TV show “The Apprentice.”

It has become clear over the years that a lot of his wealth was more image and brand than substance and various methods of creative accounting gave different values to his empire. How much of it is built on a house of cards and fraud is speculation and, honestly, may never be known. Though teams of investigators are certainly giving their all to find out.

What went wrong for Trump

“You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian.” -Harvey Dent, Batman the Dark Knight.

Rudy Giuliani, “America’s Mayor” can certainly attest to these words. How the mighty have fallen and it had everything to do with his association with Trump.
