As the US knows, taking on armies is a hell of a lot easier than fighting terrorists within civiliann populations. Israel would almost sigh with relief if its peace treaties were torn up and it had to fight off 5 armies again of its neighbours. Fighting HAMAS and Hesbollah is painful.
