Again, that's not how Russia works or how Putin and his cronies work. Putin is one of the richest men in the planet and he will remain so as long as he is in power. Russia is not kind to it ex leaders, only Gorbachev has survived and he is hated in Russia. There is no opposition to Putin by design, there is no alternative. And those Russian elite just don't need more money if it means kowtowing to the west in any way. The only language they respect is strength never appeasement. I like your posts very much and your heart is in the right place but, excuse the Godwin's law, you might as well be offering cash to the Fuhrer and hoping he doesn't invade half of Europe. Russia itself needs massive investment, it is a dystopian nightmare outside major cities but the Kremlin doesn't care about that or those people. And those people, brought up on a diet of Dostoevsky, believe it is their lot in life and suffering is a virtue.
