As for the author of this article, not really a point I have considered, even though the US and European economies are worth way more to China than Russia which only has a GDP the size of Italy. I don’t think he will step in to stop it but if he did, he would certainly stop it quite easily. And you are right, just as the reasons for the war were manufactured, so can the reasons give for “victory and success”.
